In today’s fast-paced world, many of us feel overwhelmed, distracted, or disconnected. Mindfulness offers a way to re-centre. My name is Farah Naz-Khan, and I work as a certified mindfulness practitioner at the Sheffield Wellness Centre. I support people in bringing more calm, awareness and balance into their lives through practical, science-backed mindfulness techniques.
Mindfulness is about becoming more aware of the present moment, noticing thoughts and feelings without getting lost in them. It helps shift you out of autopilot and into a space where you can make clearer, more grounded choices. Research has shown that even brief, regular mindfulness practice can improve mental health, reduce stress, and support better emotional regulation.
You don’t need to meditate for hours or become a different person. You just need a willingness to be present and that’s something I help people develop in a way that works for them.
Everyone’s starting point is different, which is why I offer an approach that is flexible, grounded, and shaped around your needs.
We begin by exploring your relationship with stress, thought patterns, and emotional triggers. From there, I introduce simple mindfulness techniques that can be used in everyday situations. These might include:
Mindfulness sessions at the Sheffield Wellness Centre happen in their peaceful and private therapy rooms where you can feel safe and supported. I also draw on my background in hypnotherapy, yoga therapy and wellness coaching to offer a rounded and integrated experience. This helps clients not just learn mindfulness, but embody it in a way that feels natural and sustainable.
The goal is not to eliminate stress or discomfort entirely, but to help you respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity and calm. With consistency, even short daily practices can lead to lasting shifts in how you relate to yourself and the world around you.
Mindfulness is suitable for almost anyone, but I’ve seen particularly powerful results for people who:
What matters most is your intention to be present and open to learning something new about yourself.
There’s no shortage of mindfulness apps or articles, but working with someone trained and experienced makes a real difference. As a certified practitioner, I offer structure, accountability and guidance that is tailored to you, not just a one-size-fits-all routine.
You’ll receive personalised support as you build your practice, and space to work through any challenges that arise. I’ll also help you apply mindfulness in practical, meaningful ways that align with your goals, values and lifestyle.
If you’re in Sheffield and curious about how mindfulness could support your well-being, I’d be happy to speak with you. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, support your emotional health, or simply feel more grounded in daily life, mindfulness can offer a path forward.
