Do you wish you were more confident?
Confidence is a learned skill that we can teach you
Confidence is a learned skill. No-one is born confident but some people have better teachers and circumstances that make it easier for them to develop confidence early on.
If your confidence levels are not where you would like them to be help is at hand.
Being confident takes practice and is not about learning to be loud and it is not about being cocky or big headed.
Confidence is about believing in yourself. We can help you to develop that.
The benefits of confidence
Confidence is attractive. There are no two ways about it. When men and women are asked what they find attractive in a partner then confidence often is at, or near, the top of the list.
It can help with getting a job, a promotion or a pay rise. It can make a difference in those little social moments where you need to make a complaint or cancel a booking.
A lack of confidence in these moments makes life more difficult, less rewarding and less enjoyable than it might have been. If you are ready to make changes in life to boost your confidence we have people who are skilled, experienced and available to take that journey with you.
Here are some of the professionals who could help you feel more confident
Hypnotherapy could help you be more confident
Your self-talk has a big impact on your self-confidence. What you say to yourself, about yourself, in your own head has power. If you allow that negative voice to constantly criticise, doubt or belittle you it will chip away at any confidence you may have.
Hypnotherapy could increase your confidence by helping you identify and take control of that voice rather than letting it run out of control.
Counselling could help break down barriers
Sometimes talking through a difficult situation can make all the difference. Having a supportive environment where you can discuss your challenges and goals could help you to become more confident about what you can do to help yourself move forward.
Styles of counselling vary and is provided by a wide range of people at the Sheffield Wellness Centre. If you would help navigating who might be the best fit for you just drop us a line.

Taking control of your thoughts and feelings can be helped through taking control of your body and your breathing. All the different aspects of who we are are interconnected after all. Two particularly effective ways of taking control of your body and your breathing is through yoga and mindfulness.
These seperate and distinct, but related, practises have helped lots of people to change aspects of their life. Find out how they could help you by contacting our yoga nd mindfulness practitioners.
Confidence focused CBT could help you succeed
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has been established over the last 20 or more years as being particularly effective when it comes to tackling many different problems.
CBT is perhaps most associated with helping people to tackle depression but it could also be used to help increase your confidence levels.

Confidence is a state of mind
Your confidence levels are influenced by:
- Your level of self acceptance of your body and your mind
- Your sense of well-being
- Your experiences
- Your skills
- Your belief in your own abilities
Confidence is fluid and dynamic and different people have it in different amounts in different circumstances but it is something that most people value as a skill.
Confidence is about having faith in yourself
You have been taught to have low self confidence. That is great! Because if you can be taught and have learned to be this way then you can be taught and learn a different way.
You are NOT hard wired to be low in confidence.
Confidence and knowing things will go well is not the same thing
We can never know for sure that things will work out. The same as we can not guarantee that we will not make some kind of mistake along the way.
Confidence is not about being perfect. Confidence is about tolerating the uncertainty of life. Confident people have a higher tolerance level and adapt quicker and more easily to the circumstances they find themselves in.
Speaking to a health professional about your goals and ambitions can help you to be clearer about what you want which sheds light on what it is that you can do to get there. You are not alone and help is at hand
