The personal consequences of lockdown

The consequences have been different for different people, obviously. There have been noticeable changes in the 'normal' trends though.

As already mentioned, stress levels have definitely been increased for many people. Alongside that anxiety has also been on the rise, fuelled by the lack of clarity about how to manage the situation and financial and employment concerns.

Relationships that were ticking along OK before lockdown will have been stress-tested to breaking point in lots of cases. Some people may be struggling to hold their relationship together and need some help.

Have you been anxious about your health?

We have a team of health professionals who can help you to tackle your symptoms and will be dedicated to helping you to recover, physically and metally.

What can you do to get help for coronavirus related concerns?

Health anxiety has understandably become a much more common problem for a much larger number of people within recent past. The doubt and uncertainty in life, combined with uncertainty for some about possible vaccinations has also been a factor.

A common way to try and deal with these negative feelings and emotions is to look for comfort. It should be no surprise then that chocolate sales have hugely increased during lockdown and many more people are eating their emotions as well as drinking much more than usual. This, combined with reduced activity levels has lead to many people putting on weight and looking for help losing weight.
