You may be considering seeing a hypnotherapist to help you in making a change to your thoughts, feelings or beliefs. Maybe someone told you that hypnosis worked for them and you wondered if it could work for you (it could!) Maybe you’re here because you have tried lots of other ways of changing but they didn’t quite work out for you and you feel this is the only option left.
Whatever the reasons for you wanting to work with me I would be only too happy to have a chat with you about your circumstances and your goals for the future.
I offer a satisfaction guarantee, all treatment sessions are recorded free of charge and I am one of the highest-rated hypnotherapists in Sheffield with nearly 100 four and five-star reviews on various websites.
I became a Hypnotherapist in 2009 thanks to a throw-away comment from a good friend. She’d been through a bad time and went to see a hypnotherapist who was rubbish! She came to have a chat with me and after the end of our chat she felt a whole lot better and said, jokingly:
“You should be a hypnotherapist, not that guy I saw” -Ruth
She was absolutely right. It was at that point that things just slotted into place. I found a great training school and embarked upon my career in helping people.
That was in 2008. Since then I have gained over 10 years of experience, helped hundreds of people and gained a huge amount of job satisfaction from doing what I do. If you have been asking yourself "does hypnotherapy actually work?" I can categorically say that after using hypnosis to help people for over ten years, it definitely does work and could make a huge difference in your life.
Who could benefit from hypnotherapy?
Everyone is capable of going into a hypnotic trance. When you have done it in the past you may be called it ‘daydreaming’ or being ‘off with the fairies’. It is basically a state of focused attention. My job is to help people to tap into their existing ability to go into this focused state and to focus more on the solutions and goals rather than the problems and difficulties.
What happens in a session?
The first face to face meeting is often a consultation to discuss the details of your current circumstances and goals for the future. I will not be interrogating you about your past, taking you back to confront childhood issues, your relationship with parents or past trauma!
My approach is “you are the way you are because you kept doing what you kept doing”
My approach is to help you to get a better alternative clear in your mind, familiar and expected. With this better alternative in mind, you can begin to see more clearly what it is that you can do to be more how you would rather be and to move past the limiting attitudes and behaviours of the past.
Each session of hypnosis is designed to help you to move forward, to tap into your strengths and resources and to release the limiting approaches of the past.
What do I need to get started?
Bring an open mind to sessions. Change IS possible
