CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The ‘cognitive’ part is to do with how you think and the ‘behaviour’ part is to do with how you act. It is a way of looking at your problems or difficulties. It aims to help you examine your thoughts and feelings, specifically in how you see yourself, others and the world around you.

Rather than looking at the past as a counsellor or psychotherapist might CBT instead is focused on the present and how changes in the present could positively affect the future. This is done by looking for patterns in thoughts and behaviours and finding better alternatives to the things that aren’t delivering results.

I have had the most wonderful hypnotherapy session with Fi from the Sheffield Wellness Centre. I knew from previous chats with her that she had the perfect voice and open demeanor for hypnotherapy, and I wasn't wrong.She immediately put me at ease and I was able to open up honestly with her. The session itself was lovely, I went quickly into a trance state and, although it's early days, feel very much that the session was beneficial: I already feel lighter and more in control of the anxiety and other problems I suffer with. The Sheffield Wellness Centre is also the perfect therapeutic space. The therapy rooms are lovely and perfectly suited to a range of therapies and the studio is bright and welcoming.
