Past Life Regression in Sheffield

Frequently asked questions about past life regression
Your session will start with a discussion about what you may wish to achieve from your session, I will go through some questions which may prompt a desire to know more about something in your life. The session will be explained to you, and at any time if you feel uncomfortable you can stop the session.
There is an ‘induction’ process, this uses different methods to help you to reach the trance state. These include deep relaxation, visualization, hypnosis or maybe a combination of all three. Then the regression itself begins, in which we are guided to a past life or a forgotten time.
One life may be visited during a session, however several lives can be visited. You can explore other lives with further sessions of you so wish. You may just be an 'observer' throughout the whole process, or you may re-live certain events in the past life.
PLR is totally safe, and despite some reports, no suggestions are put into your mind. As a hypnotherapist, I am just a facilitator, and merely ask questions as I guide you along your way. You may have many images and gain a great insight into one of your past lives or you may not see much at all. It all depends whether you were meant to get answers or see that life.
Just relax, and see what happens. Memories can appear to you in different forms – a symbol, a metaphor, your imagination, a memory, or it could even be a mixture of all of them. Try not to decipher this, just relax. If you try too hard this may actually have the opposite effect and block images and thoughts. My advice is to just experience what happens.
Afterwards, you may wish to write down what has just happened, and it may become clear to you, this happens with practice.
Some people actually try to validate what they experience with proof of that past life, for example by finding a grave, or looking up official records. However, validity may come through how intense your feelings may be associated with the memory and alleviation of symptoms. You may experience intense feelings during a session.
You don’t need to do anything to prepare for your PLR session. However, it may be helpful to prepare yourself to make the most out of your session. A good nights sleep is helpful, not to arrive hungover (!), and maybe plan a bit of time off before or after the session so you can reflect on what you would like to achieve / what has happened. This can maximise the effects of the session.
Your imagination is the conduit towards the conscious and unconscious mind, and you need to trust it. Your unconscious mind has information stored deep, which may be stored in symbols. Some deep memories will be ready to be processed consciously, and bringing these to conscious level will help you to gain insights and knowledge, which will help you to decide whether you need to make any changes in your life.
Think of any issues which you would like to address in your life These can include any health issues, relationships, issues you may have nbrought from childhood into your adult life, unwanted behaviours, life decisions, questions about your future, or maybe a question about someone in your life.
Your subconscious mind will know that you have booked a PLR session, so tell yourself that it will be a great session. Your subconscious mind believes everything that it is told. Therefore, it will communicate when needed. During the session, your conscious mind will be taking a backseat to the subconscious mind.
Tell yourself you will not consume anything which may affect the session e.g. make you tired, less alert during the session, such as alcohol. The clearer your mind, the better.
Eat before you set off for the session so you do not have a rumbling tummy!
Your session may leave you with vivid memories of the experience. These can be remembered as if they were recent memories. Everyone is different. Some experiences were not meant to be remembered and your subconscious mind may block you from experiencing them. For some people it is easier, for some it is not easy. It depends on your state of mind beforehand and how relaxed you are, and whether you easily go into a state of trance or not.
You will always be in control. Even though you may be in an altered state of consciousness, this type of therapy aims for you to find your own way during the session, with the therapists help. If you felt that you needed to return, then you would be able to.
We reincarnate with the same people in many lives, so this is entirely possible, and I find a common thing in sessions. The people you encounter could be family and friends, and it may be people that you don’t like! These people however will not look the same as they do now, as they may be a different gender and play a completely different role in a past life. You will recognise them however, although it is quite a difficult thing to explain, you just ‘know’.
PLR should not be carried out with individuals who suffer from a major mental health disorder, heart condition, or have any other condition which may be triggered during a session, such as epilepsy. Visiting past lives can be stressful, although not dangerous. The possibility that you feel worse after a session is low, although not impossible, as a session tends to release pent up emotions.
