12 years ago I discovered yoga during a particularly stressful period in my life. My weekly yoga class very rapidly became a safe place for me to press pause of the stresses of life and to focus on breathing and how it felt to move my body into the different postures.
My practice today is still very much focused on tuning into what my body needs during each session. In the time since I have explored lots of different types of yoga and truly got bitten by the yoga bug! These days I’m regularly practising both Hatha and Aerial yoga.
I currently combine being a part-time primary school teacher with teaching both adult and children’s yoga. 3 years ago I undertook my children’s yoga certificate and have taught kids yoga to small groups or whole classes in schools. I loved watching the children transform from bundles of energy to relaxed and tranquil beings at the end of the class. I enjoyed sharing this amazing experience so much that this year I decided to undertake my 200-hour yoga teacher training. This training has enabled me to share my passion for yoga with even more people.
My adult classes are a playful and uplifting exploration of Hatha yoga. You are invited to listen to your body and practice at your own level of challenge in a safe and friendly small group. You can expect a combination of breathing practices, intention setting and physical postures aimed at leaving you feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. These classes are aimed at both complete beginners and people who have been practising for a while and take place every Thursday from 7pm until 8pm.
